Christmas Eve!

Goodness, sorry I have been MIA this whole month!

Between finals, shopping, baking, and wrapping presents I am up to my ears in all things Christmas...
but I love it :)

I thought I would share the fabulous Christmas Eve outfit I bought @ American Apparel just the other day, along with a few added accessories that I already own.

:You are probably thinking...why in the world did she buy a body suit?!  Trust me, they may appear to be uncomfortable, but they are the best invention for wearing a skirt over them...no riding up :)!
I snagged this cherry red American Apparel number for $32 :

:This Cindy Lou Who look-a-like skirt was only $38 at American Apparel and looks fabulous over the red top:

:Looped Fleece Vest from Anthropologie, originally $228 reduced to $40, I just about died when I saw the fabulous sale price...and it's 100% wool:

I am going to pair this outfit with some black leggings, a big beaded white necklace, and my mothers vintage green velvet heels :)

SO EXCITED FOR CHRISTMAS!!!
Hope your Holiday is a merry one :)

feeling craft-y

This snowy.stay.inside.hot.chocolate.cuddle.romantic.movie.fabulous.day.
puts me in a crafty mood...
So instead of doing homework & writing my Shakespeare essay...I found some crafts I would like to try!!

DIY style...

:Cut-up an old t-shirt...and boom! A necklace that can brighten up a dull white tee:

:Snowglobe wonderlands....Almost any jar works for this project: Baby-food, pimiento, and olive jars are good choices. Look for plastic or ceramic figurines (metal ones are prone to rust) at flea markets and hobby or model-railroad shops. Synthetic evergreen tips are available at many floral-supply stores. You will also need oil-based enamel paint, sandpaper, epoxy, distilled water, glitter, and glycerin (available at drugstores).:

:Lacey bracelet, all thats needed is lace fabric & fabric stiffener:

:Heart maps, grab some old maps, sicssors, and a shadowbox frame from Target:

enjoy crafting :)

*snowflakes*

The snow has finally arrived...
:The view from my balcony, brrrr...:

As much as I despise walking to class in it, now I have an excuse to wear my cute winter clothes :)
Here are a few chilly weather necessities I never leave my home without...

:A red pea with gold buttons brings a nice pop of color to dull winter clothing, this can be found @ Jcrew I own my mother's old red pea coat from the 80's and it matches with EVERYthing!:

:Karl Donoghue Fluffy earmuffs found here:

:Funky gloves to spice up your outfit, found here:

Have a warm&fuzzy day (:

SCAREcrow.crunch&pumpkin.muffins

Here are some yummy fall treats I've been drying to try...
they are simple.easy.quick & require very few ingredients :)
Perfect for parties, desserts, or after school snacks!

enjoy!

:found here:

:Pumpkin&Cream Cheese Muffins:

1 cup all purpose flour
1 cup whole wheat flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. pumpkin pie spice, or to taste (I like mine with almost a tablespoon of spice!)
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt
1 cup pumpkin puree
1/2 cup white sugar
1/4 cup canola oil
3/4 cup buttermilk
1 egg + 1 egg white
3/4 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cup whipped cream cheese
1 TB confectioners sugar

Preheat oven to 350 degrees and spray muffin tins with nonstick spray. In a small bowl, mix 1/2 cup whipped cream cheese with 1 TB confectioners sugar. Set aside.
In a medium-sized bowl combine the flours, baking soda, baking powder, spices and salt.
In another bowl whisk together the pumpkin puree, sugar, oil, buttermilk, egg, egg white, and vanilla.
Stir the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients, being careful not to over mix.
Fill muffin cups 3/4 of the way full with batter mixture. Place a dollop of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each muffin.
Bake 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into a muffin comes out clean. Let the muffins cool for 10 minutes before indulging.

Yummyyyy!!
