Bedroom Oasis...

So a while back I promised I would share pictures of my room up at college...
I'm always finding new additions for my bedroom and I'm very happy with the current look :)

:All my furniture minus my bed, is from The Barn in Castle Rock, this bookshelf is the latest addition to my room.  See all those books?  I have to finish those by the semester...wooohoo for being an English major!:

:I'm obsessed with bright, happy colors!  My quilt is from Anthropologie & my pillows are from PB teen.  The flowers in the corner are a collection from Michaels craft store.  I love to do collages, so the one you see on the wall is my own creation!:

:This desk is my pride and joy (also from the Barn).  I found it on sale for $40 dollars, but I have a feeling its value is much more than that!  It has an intricate fleur de lis design carved into the sides & fun antique clock face knobs.  My lamp is from the Liberty of London line that Target sold last summer.  All my Organizational bins are from the Container store, along with the most important thing, my white board calendar:

: I found this antique chandelier at the Barn as well, I wanted something different to display all of my bracelets & rings on.  I think I found the perfect piece!:

:& to tie my whole room together, a quote filled with colors that describe my room to a tee :):

& these are the lovely pretties I get to share my apartment with :)

Happy Decorating!

Sadly, summer is coming to an end...
But fortunately for my closet, all those fabulous summer clothes I've been lusting after are on sale!

Here are a few items I'm thinking of adding to my collection:

:Lingonberry Corset Dress @ Anthropologie $169 reduced from $328:

:Peacock Plume sandals @ Anthropologie $59 reduced from $118:

:Shakuhachi Lace Maxi Dress @ Urban Outfitters $149 reduced from $315:

Now...these items might be a little pricey, but I worked hard this summer, I think I deserve a reward :)

Mini Cheesecake Bites

Mmmmm...I love love LOVE cheesecake, add in some chocolate chips, and make them fun sized?!  I think I'm in heaven.

Here is the next recipe I'm going to try out on my roomates :)

Chocolate Chip Mini Cheesecakes
Crust
1 cup graham cracker crumbs
2 tbsp brown sugar
small pinch salt
2 1/2 tbsp butter, melted
Cheesecake
8-oz cream cheese, softened
2 tbsp sour cream or greek-style yogurt
1/3 cup sugar
1 large egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350F. Line 8 cups of a muffin pan with paper liners.
In a medium bowl, make the graham cracker crust. Mix together graham cracker crumbs, brown sugar and salt and stir to combine. Pour over melted butter and stir with a fork to moisten the crumbs.
Place about a tablespoon of crumb mixture in each of the prepared muffin cups and pack down into an even layer.
In a large bowl, make the cheesecake. Cream together cream cheese, sour cream and sugar until smooth. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.
Place 1 tbsp chocolate chips into each of the muffin cups. Evenly divide cheesecake batter between the muffin cups, covering the first layer of chocolate chips. Place another tbsp of chocolate chips on top of the cheesecake batter in each of the muffin cups.
Bake for 20-25 minutes, until cheesecakes are set.
Allow to cool for 10 minutes in the muffin pan, then carefully transfer cheesecakes to a cooling rack to cool completely before refrigerating.
Makes 8.
